Looking to develop your coaching skills or start as a new rugby coach?

"A good Coach can change a GAME, a great Coach can change a LIFE"
- John Wooden

Coaching remains a valuable and rewarding way to get or stay involved in rugby union.
David Regester is the Norfolk RFU Club coaching co-ordinator & here is his latest update on opportunities to coach & develop in our area.

1. There is a group on Facebook for rugby coaches in Norfolk. It's a good place to contact coaches from other clubs, share ideas and promote coaching courses.

2) The Rugby Ready course on 13th November @ Norwich RFC from 6.30-9.30 still has 11 places available. This is ideal if you are new to coaching & for players aged 14yrs+ who would like to start their coaching journey.

U11 and U12 CPD courses to be held at Nth Walsham RFC: U11 - Tuesday 28th November, 6.30pm & U12 - Tuesday 5th December, 6.30pm

Holt RFC will pay for all training courses for coaches in our club. We'll be very happy to chat with you about starting as a new coach or developing further as a coach. Please speak with Richard Gorrod, our Youth Chair or Neville Drewry, our Mini's Chair.

Ben Jones, Rob Hughes & Carl Durban coached their teams from Gladiators through to Colts. Many of the lads are now playing for the Senior teams at Holt RFC or their University teams. This photo was a proud moment when some of the players they coached won their competition in the Norfolk Cup in 2016.
Finally, a good article I came across from Stuart Heritage which might inspire you if you think you don't know enough about rugby to coach young children: https://goo.gl/6XsKB2
