On Wed 7th Nov, six players from Holt RFC helped inspire Norfolk Rugby to victories over Cambridge 22 - 7 and Suffolk 19 - 7.

Over the last few weeks the Norfolk side have gone from strength to strength with plenty of representation from Holt RFC

Norfolk Rugby U17's Success in County Tri-Series
Norfolk played fixtures against Suffolk and Cambridge at Thetford Rugby Club.

First up was Cambridge, from the kick-off Norfolk made their intentions clear with very direct running from the forwards, and a wide attacking game plan from the backs, this quickly paid dividends with 2 early tries. Cambridge then enjoyed some good territory and possession but defence held tight and soon it was Norfolk who again charged down pitch. From a well worked lineout the Norfolk pack drove out wide to score, this was followed by 2 further tries to Norfolk. Cambridge did score a well deserved late consolation try, but the final score saw a dominant Norfolk win 27-7.

Next we played Suffolk, after a slow start and going down a try, the Norfolk pack stepped up a gear and started to dominate the contact areas, which in-turn provided the platform for our very talented backline to cut loose in the last quarter and score 3 super team tries, leaving the final score a win for Norfolk 19-7.
