Schools tag rugby event held at Holt RFC

We were delighted to spot this photo taken in our rugby club & thank you to Sheringham Primary School who have kindly given us permission to share their report & photo:

"On Monday 9th of October Sheringham Community Primary School sent two teams to take part in a tag rugby tournament comprising of our cluster group of schools.
The day was very well organised and our thanks go to Holt RFC for making their grounds and facilities available to us. The event saw 17 teams and over 150 children taking part.
Our children were a real credit and represented the school very well. They clearly enjoyed the day and displayed wonderful sportsmanship.
Both of our teams competed in the large school pools, alongside teams from Cromer, Mundesley and Holt. Our B team managed to secure a very well earned 3rd place, whilst our A team came away with first! We are very proud of the children as for many of them this was their first experience of playing competitive tag rugby.
We look forward to our next competition in November. "

If any of the pupils at Sheringham primary school would like to play more tag rugby, you'll be very welcome at Holt rugby club on a Sunday morning, 10.30am. We offer the first 3 weeks for free, before asking for any membership fees so please do come along & see what you think to club rugby. There'll be a warm welcome to children & parents. Please contact our Mini's Chair, Nev Drewry.
