Holt's speedy young backs show off their handling skills and entertain the home crowd

Thank you to Iain MacBrayne for this match report & Lucy Goffin for the photographs:

Holt returned to winning ways and maintained their unbeaten home run with a good solid team performance which resulted in a comfortable win over their visitors from Suffolk.
Holt captain, Ashley Woods, led the way with a strong performance and was well supported by the rest of the pack with Robbie Gray prominent throughout.
As a result, Holt's speedy young backs were able to show off their handling skills and entertain the home crowd. Their defence was also good ,with some eye-catching tackles from Alastair Hughes.
Holt's ten tries followed at regular intervals and , unlike last week, they never took their foot off the pedal.
Holt have produced another flying winger from their youth production line in the shape of seventeen year old Louis Chapman who touched down for two tries within 10 minutes of the kick off. Scrum half, Bruce van Poortvliet then produced one of his trade mark solo tries before tries followed for Aaron Tagg, Henry Flower and Ashley Woods. Three conversions by James Wyatt made half time score 36-0.
Thurston are a very gutsy side and never gave up. They made several strong incursions into the Holt half but, apart from a try from a driving maul early in the second half, they were not able to breach Holt's well organised defence.
Holt finished off the game with tries by Kyle Routley, James Wyatt, Ollie Jaggard and a second for the consistently impressive Henry Flower.
Three further conversions by James Wyatt completed the scoring.
The man of the match for Holt , sponsored by Norfolk Brewhouse Fred's Check, was Louis Chapman who was selected by Chris Coubrough of Flying Kiwi Inns, sponsor of the pre-match lunch
