What began as a misty morning turned out gorgeous in the sunshine at Bridge Road for the second part of the Kingswood Festival at Holt RFC.

Martin Watts reports: "61 teams, with a total of 593 children came to Bridge Road this morning from Essex, Northampton, Nottingham, Bedford, Leicestershire, Buckinghamshire, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk for a great day of minis festival rugby. Thank you to all the parents, carers and coaches who put in some mileage to get here for the early start - 600 cars in the car park plus coaches, not bad!

A big shout out must go to the kitchen team for getting out over 400 meal orders, and to all the volunteers that helped make that happen. We had some great help from the junior section over both weekends, providing food and drinks from the BBQ and tea van.

This has been my first Kingswood Festival and it has been an absolute privilege to work with all of the clubs that came along, our staff and of course all of the volunteers that came forward, stepped up and helped me through this. It’s been a very enjoyable couple of Sundays seeing all the kids having fun on and off the pitch.

I hope to see you all here again next year".
