After what seems like an eternity, we finally got to play a game following recent cancellations due to the weather.
The KO was delayed for a perfectly observed minutes silence in honour of George Cushing, who sadly passed away earlier this week.
The game started, and our visitors quickly adapted to the conditions, scoring and converting inside the first few minutes. We rallied, and score ourselves from a 5m lineout in a move straight out of our training manual. Sudbury came back strongly and scored again soon after the restart. The second half continued in a similar fashion to the first, with some slick offloading by Sudbury and some dogged forward play from Holt. Sadly our visitors took their opportunities better, and scored a further 3 tries.
A really enjoyable game, played in the right spirit from the start, we look forward to playing Sudbury again next season.
